Mr Themba Lecage of Sebenza Engineering opened proceedings with a session on identity and motivation, encouraging young boys to define their purpose and remain resilient when faced with challenges.

Mr Gosiame from the Heartlines NGO addressed the importance of healthy relationships between fathers and sons in modern society, speaking specifically about communication, trust and emotional support as foundations for strong family bonds.

Soccer coaches Vusi and Puka brought a sporting angle to the day, using their experience on the field to inspire attendees and drive home messages about discipline and leadership through sport.

Several stakeholders also used the platform to present opportunities available to young people. Mr Clayton from SANCA, Mr Kitsa from the Department of Roads, Transport and Public Safety, and Mr Mthombeni from the Department of Social Development shared information on projects, skills development programmes and career pathways accessible to youth in the district.

One of the most powerful moments of the day came from Mr Francis Mokatsa, an ex-convict, whose personal testimony spoke directly to the consequences of poor life choices and the possibility of redemption. Ms Dipuo from Lechabile Movement Consciousness followed with a message encouraging self-awareness and community responsibility among the young men present.

Closing remarks were delivered by Mr Sam Nyombani, Chairperson of the Lejweleputswa District Youth Crime Prevention Desk, who praised the collective effort behind the seminar and called for continued community involvement in raising responsible future leaders.
