Ezulwini – The Eswatini Standards Authority conducted a two-day Food Safety for Food Handlers awareness training for stakeholders of the Ezulwini Municipality this week, targeting staff working in food outlets across the valley.

The training was designed to equip kitchen staff, chefs, waiters and store personnel with essential knowledge and practical skills to maintain food safety in their working environments. It also provided participants with background on the SZNS ISO 22000 Food Safety Management Systems, covering the importance of food safety, the effects of unsafe food and its broader impact on communities.

Topics covered during the two-day session included personal hygiene, contamination, cleaning and sanitation, pest control and waste management.
