Piggs Peak – The police in Piggs Peak have arrested and charged a 25-year-old man of the Ndzingeni area with three criminal charges.
The suspect was apprehended on June 1, 2026, at around 5 p.m. in the Ndvwabangeni region in connection with two armed robberies conducted in March within the precinct.
The suspect faced a theft of a motor vehicle charge in count one after he allegedly stole a Toyota van valued at E45 000.00 while it was parked at Mgungundlovu on February 8, 2026. Police say the car was then abandoned and recovered in the Fontotje area two days later. 
The suspect is accused of attacking and robbing a 30-year-old woman of Mgungundlovu of property valued at E79 500.00 armed, getting away with the motor vehicle, a 12-bore shotgun and E11 000.00 in cash.
