Mbabane – Prime Minister Russell Mmiso Dlamini received a courtesy visit from South Africa’s Minister of Higher Education, Science and Technology, Dr Blade Nzimande, at the Private and Cabinet Office on Monday, with the two leaders discussing ways to strengthen cooperation between the two neighbouring countries.

Nzimande used the meeting to express gratitude on behalf of the South African government and its people for Eswatini’s contribution and support towards South Africa’s liberation struggle.

Dlamini spoke to Eswatini’s interest in deepening collaboration with South Africa, particularly in the areas of higher education, science, innovation and information and communication technologies.

The Prime Minister also informed Nzimande that the Kingdom was working towards the establishment of the SADC University of Technology, where innovation and ICT would play a central role. Both leaders agreed to explore possible areas of cooperation and partnership in advancing the initiative.
