Brussels – Organisation of African, Caribbean and Pacific States Secretary-General Moussa Batraki met with Kenyan President William Samoei Ruto on the sidelines of an official visit to Brussels, Belgium, for talks on the ongoing transformation of the bloc and its role as a bridge connecting nations across three regions.
The two leaders discussed the OACPS’s unique position in linking Africa, the Caribbean and the Pacific through shared history, common values and collective aspirations, and spoke to the importance of identifying strategic priorities that would strengthen the organisation’s standing in an evolving global landscape.
Batraki commended Ruto for Kenya’s strategic leadership in advancing international cooperation and effective multilateralism, and expressed appreciation for Kenya’s continued engagement and contribution to the OACPS.
Ruto, in turn, extended his support for the Secretary-General’s reform agenda for the organisation.
