Windhoek – Namibian President Dr Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah has conveyed a message of solidarity and sympathy to the government and people of Venezuela following devastating earthquakes that have killed people, caused injuries and left widespread destruction across the country.
In a message addressed to Venezuelan Acting President Delcy Rodríguez, President Nandi-Ndaitwah expressed profound shock and sadness at the tragedy and extended the deepest condolences of the Namibian government and people to bereaved families and all those affected.
“The people of Namibia stand with the people of Venezuela as you confront the immense challenge of rescue, recovery and reconstruction,” President Nandi-Ndaitwah said.
She paid tribute to the courage and resilience of the Venezuelan people and the emergency personnel working tirelessly to assist those in need.
The President said such tragic moments serve as a reminder of shared humanity and the collective responsibility to support those facing hardship and loss. She expressed confidence that the strength and determination of the Venezuelan people would prevail as the nation rebuilds and recovers.
President Nandi-Ndaitwah reaffirmed Namibia’s solidarity and enduring friendship with Venezuela during this difficult period.
