Manzini – Members of the LGBTQ+ community and their allies came together at Millennium Park in Manzini over the weekend to mark Eswatini Pride 2026, in what organisers described as a day of joy, solidarity and celebration.

The event, hosted by United Voices of Diversity (UVD), brought together community members, partner organisations and local artists for a full day of activities that included a colourful Pride March, speeches from allies and live performances from local entertainers.

Eswatini Sexual and Gender Minorities (ESGM), one of the groups that took part in the celebrations, said the gathering offered an important opportunity to bring the community together and to reaffirm its commitment to building a society where every person is seen and valued.

“We are grateful for the opportunity to stand together, celebrate our community, and continue building a future where everyone is seen, valued, and free to live with pride,” ESGM said in a statement following the event.

ESGM also announced that membership registration remains open for those who were unable to attend the celebrations. Interested persons can sign up through the organisation’s website at www.eswatiniminorities.org.
