Saba Saba – Zimbabwe’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, Prof. Amon Murwira, on Friday attended the 50th Dar es Salaam International Trade Fair, popularly known as Saba Saba, in Tanzania.
The minister attended at the invitation of his counterpart, Honourable Judith Salvio Kapinga, the Minister of Industry and Trade of the United Republic of Tanzania, according to Zimbabwe’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Trade.
The 2026 edition of the fair was officially opened by Tanzanian President Her Excellency Dr Samia Suluhu Hassan. 
The ministry said the visit provided an opportunity to engage with exhibitors and strategic institutions that are critical to advancing Zimbabwe’s trade and export agenda.
During the tour, Murwira visited the ZimTrade exhibition stand, which is showcasing Zimbabwe’s export ready products and promoting the country’s industrial and manufacturing capabilities.
He also engaged with the Tanzania Ports Authority, which is developing dry ports and logistics infrastructure to facilitate efficient cargo movement for neighbouring landlocked countries.
The ministry said enhanced access to Tanzania’s ports and logistics network presents significant opportunities for Zimbabwe to reduce transport costs, improve supply chain efficiency, and expand exports to regional and international markets through the Indian Ocean corridor.
