Govt facilitates voluntary return of somali national

Mbabane – The Government of the Kingdom of Eswatini has confirmed the voluntary repatriation of a Somali national who was part of the fourth group of Third Country Nationals (TCNs) received under the bilateral agreement with the United States of America.

In a statement issued on 26 August 2026 by Acting Government Spokesperson Thabile Mduli, Mbabane said the man requested to return to Somalia to reunite with his family and that government facilitated the necessary arrangements for his departure.

He left the Kingdom on Sunday, 23 August 2026, and arrived safely in Somalia on the same day, the statement said.

This follows the successful repatriation of two other third-country nationals just over a week ago, as the government continues to work with relevant authorities and partners to process voluntary return requests in line with applicable arrangements and procedures.

“The public will be kept informed of any further developments in this regard,” the statement added.
