Upcoming musicians Fanson and Triple Z from Sithobelweni are preparing to release their new single titled “Halala Ngayé,” set to drop on 10 April 2026 across digital platforms including YouTube and Spotify.
Fanson, born in 2003, began his music journey while still in school, recording early tracks with his friend Mndeni Magagula using the Tune Me app. His passion grew further at Mabhensane High School where he met fellow artist Blaq Spider, who played a role in shaping his musical direction. He later adopted the stage name Fanson, blending his name with the concept of being a “son.”
His younger brother, Zwakele Mamba, known by his stage name Triple Z, was born in 2009 and also raised in Sithobelweni. Inspired by Fanson, he started singing at home before taking music more seriously. Under his brother’s guidance, he began practising using the Voloco app to develop his sound.
The name Triple Z comes from Zwakele’s names, Zwakele, Ziggy and Zenja, combining their initials to form his stage identity. His first experience in a recording studio came through the track “Halala Ngayé,” where he collaborated with Fanson.
The song, produced by NKS Music with beats by Visto Visuals, is an afropop track that encourages listeners to trust in God. Despite initial nerves, Triple Z described the studio session as exciting, marking a significant step in his music journey.
The duo have already performed the track at Sphofaneni, where it received a strong reception from the crowd, with many responding positively to their energy on stage.
Fanson and Triple Z, now working together under the name Triple Z Musician, cite local acts such as Lyrical Busta, Jay Spitter and Intwanencane as key influences in their music.
