Mbabane – The Directorate of Industrial and Vocational Training (DIVT) is holding a strategic meeting today to review and develop apprenticeship and job training guidelines covering 12 trades, as part of efforts to keep skills development programmes aligned with the needs of industry.
Five trades have already been reviewed before today’s session, which is dedicated to the Cooking trade, bringing the total number of reviewed trades to six.
The review panel includes experts drawn from the hospitality industry, with representatives from Piggs Peak Hotel, The George Hotel, ECOT former Heads of Departments and Mpaka Vocational Training taking part in the process.
The initiative is supported by the Taiwan Embassy, whose partnership with the Kingdom continues to play a role in advancing skills development for emaSwati.
