Windhoek – Namibian President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah received former Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo for a courtesy visit on Monday, with the two leaders focusing their discussions on strengthening trade and investment ties between Namibia and Nigeria as a driver of economic growth and job creation.

The meeting followed an earlier engagement between the two leaders this year and covered both bilateral economic matters and broader global concerns.

Nandi-Ndaitwah and Obasanjo also shared concern over ongoing conflicts around the world, speaking to the importance of peaceful and negotiated resolutions and reflecting on how Africa could best navigate an increasingly uncertain global environment.
