Vulamasango top learner urges peers to value education

MBABANE: Vulamasango Correctional Services School top learner Nkosephayo Mamba has urged fellow learners to take their education seriously, saying discipline, dedication and commitment will play an important role in shaping their future.

Mamba delivered the message on Friday during the Class of 2026 glamorous farewell function held at the school hall.

The learner was among the major award recipients during the event after receiving the Most Disciplined Learner Award. He also collected four certificates for outstanding performance in Siswati, Religious Education, Biology and Agriculture.

Mamba’s academic record includes achieving First Class with Merit in both his Grade 7 and Form 3 examinations, adding to his recognition as one of the school’s leading learners.

He thanked the Commissioner General’s Office, the Executive, the school administration and teachers for the support they have continued to provide to learners in their academic journey.

Other learners were also recognised during the farewell ceremony for their conduct and improvement. Sinethemba Tsela received the Most Improved in Behaviour Award, while Zwelakhe Hlophe was presented with the Best Behaved Award.

Principal Ngabisa Dlamini also announced an incentive aimed at motivating learners to pursue academic excellence. She said any Vulamasango learner who secures a place in the national Top 10 will receive a laptop as a token of appreciation.

The Form 5 learners are scheduled to begin writing their final examinations on Wednesday as they conclude their secondary school studies.

  12. Owerikhosi Nsibandze: Accounting
  13. Celumusa Madiopha: Business Studies
  14. Alwandze Hlophe: ICT
  15. Lethokuhle Mhlabane: Fashion and Fabric
