Athletics Eswatini took a bold step to document its legacy by launching the AE Odyssey this morning at Sigwaca House in Mbabane.
The initiative, described as a critical effort to preserve and share the federation’s rich history, will see a dedicated committee of seven members compile the official AE Biography within a three-month timeline.
AE President Zakhele J. Dlamini introduced the team during the event. The committee is chaired by Nosipho Mnguni and includes Dumsani Ntiwane, Comfort Jele, Linda Dlamini, Thoba Mazibuko, Thabiso Langwenya, and Hazel Mthethwa.
Dlamini told attendees that the project goes beyond documenting the past. “This is about restoring dignity, renewing hope, and rebuilding unity,” he said.
Mnguni, speaking on behalf of the committee, said they were honoured to lead the task and invited emaSwati to take part. “We promise to deliver and call on the nation to support us by sharing their athletics stories and experiences,” she said.
