SIDVOKODVO – Five men were arrested this morning after being caught with two freshly slaughtered cow carcasses near Tri-Cash, marking a major breakthrough in the Royal Eswatini Police Service’s fight against stock theft.
The suspects, aged 46, 45, 43, 33 and 29, were spotted by a passing police officer washing a white Ford van loaded with the stolen meat at Mkhondvo River around 7:15 a.m. Sidvokodvo police responded swiftly and took the men into custody.
Preliminary investigations indicate that the cows were stolen and slaughtered in areas around Masini and Dvumbe. One of the suspects is a repeat offender, previously arrested by Lubulini Police for similar crimes.
