Mbabane – The Royal Eswatini Police Service (REPS) has released its weekly crime report, covering 2 to 10 September 2025, detailing arrests made across the country for serious offences including murder, attempted murder, theft, and illegal possession of drugs and firearms.
In Gege, two men aged 19 and 21 from Piet Retief, South Africa, were arrested in connection with the murder of a 53-year-old man from Polodini, who was found on 25 August with multiple stab and hack wounds.
In Manzini, a 36-year-old woman from Moneni was charged with murder after allegedly stabbing her 40-year-old boyfriend from Malindza on 4 September. Police also arrested a 39-year-old man from Timbutini and a 32-year-old man from Ezulwini in connection with the theft of E32,000 in cash from a vehicle in Matsapha on 1 September.
Pigg’s Peak police charged a 23-year-old man from Nkomanzi with attempted murder following a stabbing at Pholani Bar on 3 September, which left a 29-year-old Siphocosini man injured.
At Lavumisa border, a 35-year-old man from Mkhitsini was arrested after 99.202 kg of dagga was discovered hidden in a truck trailer without a permit.
In Mankayane, a 33-year-old man from Mkhitsini was charged for illegal possession of a 9mm star pistol and linked to an attempted shooting of a 40-year-old man near Mankayane Government Hospital on 7 September.
Hluthi police arrested an 18-year-old from Bhejisa for possession of a 12-bore shotgun and a live round without a licence.
REPS reminded residents that the service works as a safety and security buffer in partnership with stakeholders and urged the public to report suspicious activity via emergency numbers 999/9999 or 112.
