Police officers complete twelve week OSSU course

Matsapha – Twenty male officers from the Royal Eswatini Police Service have completed a twelve week OSSU basic training programme aimed at strengthening operational capacity within the service.

The graduation took place today where Senior Assistant Commissioner of Police Vusumuzi Gama, representing the National Commissioner, addressed the officers. He congratulated the group for meeting the demands of the course, which is designed to prepare officers for high risk deployments across the country.

Gama told the officers that the programme was intended to sharpen their skills, improve discipline and prepare them for the realities of field work. He noted that their performance during training demonstrated commitment to serving the public.

He reminded the officers that their duties require strict adherence to the law at all times, adding that their training in weapon handling places a higher responsibility on them compared to ordinary citizens. According to Gama, their role remains centred on preventing crime and protecting communities throughout the Kingdom.
