Ndunayithini – Police in Hluthi have arrested and charged two men aged 21 and 22 following a violent armed robbery that took place in Ndunayithini earlier this year.
The Royal Eswatini Police Service said the incident occurred on the night of September 10, 2025, at about 2000 hours, when four armed men forced their way into a family home in the area.
According to police reports, the suspects brandished a pistol and threatened the occupants before stealing E2000 and a cellphone. During the robbery, one of the attackers sexually assaulted a 17 year old girl who was inside the house at the time.
Investigations led to the arrest of two suspects from Ndunayithini, who are now facing charges related to armed robbery and sexual assault. Police said the remaining two suspects have not yet been apprehended.
The Royal Eswatini Police Service said efforts are continuing to track down the other suspects and has appealed to members of the public with information that could assist in their arrest to come forward. Police said such information will be handled with confidentiality.
