PM commissions E50m projects in Shiselweni

Prime Minister Russell Mmiso Dlamini on Friday toured and commissioned government-funded projects valued at approximately E50 million across the Sandleni, Mtsambama and Kumethula Tinkhundla in the Shiselweni Region, all of which fall under the Kuhlaleni Royal Kraal.

The Prime Minister began the day by assessing the Mhlabuyaduma-Gwegwe Road, which was funded through the MicroProjects Community Development Fund. He also inspected the Dlomodlomo and Mahundula low-level crossings before officially commissioning the Mbokojwane Low-Level Crossing.

He then toured a solar-powered community water project supported by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Energy in partnership with World Vision.

At Kontshingila Primary School, the Prime Minister commissioned a Consumer Science Laboratory, a three-classroom block and a semi-detached staff house. He also commissioned a new administration block at Mpatheni High School before officially opening the Kuhlaleni Community Hall. The school and community hall projects were funded through the Regional Development Fund.

Speaking during the visits, Prime Minister Dlamini said the projects were a direct reflection of His Majesty the King’s vision for the country.

“The projects we have seen today reflect His Majesty’s vision for a developed and inclusive Eswatini. They also align with the Sibaya mandate, the Nkwe Programme of Action, and the Grand Plan for National Transformation,” he said.

He gave assurances that the government would continue to push development to every corner of the country.

“As His Majesty’s Government, we remain fully committed to implementing His Majesty’s vision for inclusive development and improved service delivery. We have heard His Majesty’s directives clearly, and we will continue working tirelessly to ensure that development reaches every citizen with greater urgency and efficiency, Nkwe,” he said.
