Mbabane – FreightLux has donated E40,000 to SOS Children’s Villages Eswatini, providing a boost to programmes supporting children and young people who have lost parental care or are at risk of losing it.
The donation was handed over during a ceremony attended by SOS Children’s Villages Eswatini Acting National Director Ms. Bhembe, who thanked FreightLux for consistently placing children at the centre of its Corporate Social Investment initiatives.
Ms. Bhembe said many of the children and young people supported by the organisation are school-going learners who need assistance with school uniforms, transport, top-up school fees, learning materials, and other essential needs that contribute to their well-being and educational success.
The contribution will go towards strengthening programmes that address the social and developmental needs of children and young people, supporting their resilience and access to opportunities.
Ms. Bhembe also invited FreightLux to participate in the Eswatini Children’s Cup, a fundraising initiative launched by Deputy Prime Minister Thulisile Dladla. The initiative seeks to mobilise resources and partnerships to provide care, protection, education, and opportunities for vulnerable children across the Kingdom.
She extended the same invitation to companies, institutions, businesses, community groups, and individuals to join the cause.
