Mbabane – The Royal Eswatini Police Service headquarters Chaplaincy marked the beginning of July with a heartfelt Father’s Day celebration, with Reverend Dr. Sam Dlamini from the International Assemblies of God Ministries preaching the word of God.
The celebration was conducted under the theme: “The Importance of Being a Responsible and Family-Oriented Father in building safer homes, communities and the nation.”
The focus of the event was on the critical role that fathers play in fostering safe, stable and nurturing homes, which in turn contribute significantly to the development of secure communities.
In his sermon, Rev. Dr. Dlamini read the book of Deuteronomy 16 verse 16 and stated that responsible citizenship begins within the family unit.
“A home without a good father is as good as dead,” he said.
The speaker urged fathers to embrace their responsibilities wholeheartedly, demonstrating love, discipline and guidance to their children.
National Commissioner Mr. Manoma Vusie Masango spoke on the importance of such engagements as they contribute positively to building a safer and more cohesive society.
He encouraged the officers who attended the service to carry the lessons learned into their daily lives, reinforcing the value of responsible fatherhood in shaping a better future for the nation.
