Mbabane – The Eastern and Southern African Management Institute (ESAMI) Director General, Professor Peter Kiuluku, is expected to speak to captains of industry tomorrow as the Pan-African institution hosts captains of industry in the public service, state-owned enterprises and private sector for a capacity-building engagement at the Happy Valley Hotel.
ESAMI Eswatini Country Manager Winile Nxumalo said that the event is being attended by Professor Kiuluku, with his team classifying it as a high-profile engagement. Yesterday, Prof Kiuluku paid a courtesy visit to the Secretary to Cabinet, Victor Nxumalo as part of his official visit to the country. They discussed enhacing partnerships and improving service delivery by developing the public servent’s capacities to deliver.
The international business management expert, Professor Kiuluku, is also expected to market ESAMI’s products in Eswatini to attendees. 
“As part of the visit, he intends to make a presentation of our products or services to all the institution’s stakeholders, who include CEOs and human capital managers of Eswatini’s state-owned enterprises, government ministries and the private sector to discuss possible areas of capacity-building interventions that are available at ESAMI, which your organisations can benefit from,” Nxumalo said.
ESAMI has had partnership agreements with at least 10 governments in Africa and their state-owned enterprises as well as private sector organisations over the last five decades.
It has enhanced ESAMI’s image as a premier market-orientated Pan-African regional management development centre owned by 10 member governments, including Eswatini.
Nxumalo said they continue to deliver highly specialised management training, executive education, consultancy, and action-orientated research services across the region.
“The Eastern and Southern African Management Institute, ESAMI, is a Pan-African regional management development centre owned by 10 member governments from the Eastern and Southern African region.
“We are a service and market-orientated institution offering high-level specialised management training and development programmes, consultancy and action-orientated management research services,” she said.
ESAMI is present in Nairobi, Kenya; Kampala, Uganda; Malawi; Mozambique; Namibia; Seychelles; Tanzania; Zambia; Zimbabwe; and Eswatini.
Prof. Kiuluku’s bio
Prof. Kiuluku is the director general and has over 18 years of executive leadership and management experience. Previously, he served as director of the ESAMI Business School and executive director of the Trade Policy Training Centre in Africa (ESAMI-Trapca), funded by Sida.
Kiuluku was the director of the Leadership and Management Sustainability Programme, a USAID-funded project implemented jointly with MSH, USA. Kiuluku has also been the manager of marketing and business development at ESAMI.
Previously, he was a management consultant with Price Waterhouse (Nairobi), now PricewaterhouseCoopers, an international management consulting firm. In this capacity, he was part of the Price Waterhouse global consulting group based in Nairobi.
He is an international business and management expert with specialist skills in strategy, communication and management.
Prof. Kiuluku has consulted for private sector clients, international donors, governments and non-profit organisations. He is a Certified Management Consultant by the Institute of Management Consultants, London. He is a strategic thinker and executive coach and has chaired boards of international organisations.
Prof. Kiuluku possesses good policy and governance experience at the international level. He is a certified Balanced Scorecard Consultant. He has built a reputation as a thought leader and is a published author.
