Ezulwini – The Central Bank of Eswatini today launched the FinScope Eswatini 2026 Consumer Survey, a nationwide study meant to establish whether financial policies and regulations are actually working for households and businesses in the Kingdom.
Governor Dr. Phil Mnisi officiated at the launch this morning, describing the survey as a key milestone in the effort to build a financial sector that is consumer centred and impactful.
The study will assess access, usage, confidence and outcomes in the financial sector, measuring how ordinary people and enterprises experience the products and services available to them. 
“The findings will provide critical evidence to strengthen gender responsive policies and ensure future interventions are inclusive, equitable, and effective,” the Governor said.
Deputy Governor Felicia Dlamini Kunene said enumerators would move through homes and communities in all four regions of the country, gathering the voices and experiences of ordinary emaSwati.
“It provides a glimpse into everyday financial realities, needs, behaviours, challenges, and aspirations while ensuring people’s voices shape the policies and services of tomorrow,” she said.
The Central Bank is running the survey in partnership with FinMark Trust, the Eswatini Economic Policy Analysis and Research Centre (ESEPARC) and the Central Statistical Office.
