MBABANE: The Royal Eswatini Police Service is investigating an armed robbery that occurred at Pine Valley, Mbabane, on Tuesday evening.
The incident reportedly took place at about 7pm on 18 August 2026, when a 36 year old man was attacked inside his home by two unidentified men, one of whom was armed with a pistol.
According to the police report, one suspect entered the house wearing a balaclava and gloves. The suspect tied up the victim and demanded money before locking him inside a toilet. 
The suspect then searched the rooms in the house. A second suspect later joined him, and the pair continued searching for valuables.
During the robbery, the suspects allegedly took some of the victim’s alcohol and sat down to drink it while going through the house.
At about 2am, the suspects untied the victim and fled with E7,000 in cash, jewellery valued at E6,000 and a Samsung mobile phone worth approximately E6,000.
No arrests have been reported in connection with the case.
The REPS is appealing to anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity around Pine Valley or has information that could assist the investigation to contact the police.
Information may be reported to the Mbabane Police Station on 2404 2221. Members of the public may also call 999 or 9999 for emergency assistance, or 112 from a mobile phone.
Police said all information would be treated confidentially.
