MANZINI – Masundvwini High School has been crowned champion of the Premier Eswatini Future Foodies Market Day 2025, held at the Mavuso Trade and Exhibition Centre on April 26.

The school walked away with E15 000 after beating 29 others in the annual culinary competition, which brings together Form 3 and 4 Consumer Science learners to showcase their food entrepreneurship skills.

The event, organised by Junior Achievers Eswatini in partnership with Premier Eswatini, marked the final stage of a youth development programme aimed at equipping young people with practical business skills through two-day holiday camps.

Boyane High School secured second place and received E5 000, while LaMawandla High School came third with a prize of E2 500.

Dignitaries, educators, and families from across the country gathered to support the young entrepreneurs as they presented creative dishes inspired by lessons from the camps.

Junior Achievers Eswatini Executive Director Phetsile Masilela praised the learners’ innovation, while Premier Eswatini’s Sales and Marketing Manager Mfundo Dlamini said the company was proud to support youth business development.

Also present was Director of MSMEs at the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Trade, Mluleki Dlamini, who commended the learners for taking concrete steps toward shaping Eswatini’s food economy.

Manzini Regional Administrator Prince Chief Gija attended the event and encouraged the participants to keep pursuing their culinary dreams.
