ERS Commissioner of Domestic Taxes steps down

The Eswatini Revenue Service (ERS) has announced the departure of Vusi Ngcamphalala from his role as Commissioner of Domestic Taxes.

Ngcamphalala first joined ERS in 2012 as Financial Controller, a position he held for several years before leaving to pursue opportunities outside the organisation. He returned in 2022 to take up the Commissioner role, during which time ERS saw improvements in voluntary tax compliance and accelerated digital transformation in revenue collection.

ERS Commissioner General Brightwell Nkambule said Ngcamphalala’s tenure brought significant changes to the service. He noted that under Ngcamphalala’s leadership, the organisation strengthened voluntary compliance and advanced its digital capabilities to support better service and sustainable revenue outcomes.
