New game reserve estate planned for Lubombo

Lubombo – A new residential estate is being proposed within one of Eswatini’s game reserves, with an application filed with authorities to establish a human settlement in the Lubombo district.

UrbPlan and Environmental Consultants, acting on behalf of Mbuluzi Game Reserve (Pty) Ltd, has lodged an application with the Human Settlements Authority under the Human Settlements Authority Amendment Act of 1992. The proposed development, to be known as Mbuluzi North Game Reserve Estate, is earmarked for Remainder of Farm 176 in Mbuluzi, Lubombo.

Principal Secretary Dr Simon M. Zwane, who issued the notice, said plans, documents and information relating to the application are available for public inspection at the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development offices on the fifth floor of the Income Tax Building in Mbabane.

Members of the public who wish to object or make representations have two weeks from the date of publication of the notice to submit their views in writing to the Human Settlements Authority, care of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development, P.O. Box 1832, Mbabane. The Authority will share the details of every objection received with the applicant.
