Mbabane Highlanders AM has appointed Siphamandla ‘Mr 24 Reasons’ Maseko as the club’s new captain, taking over from Thando Langa.
Head coach Ernest Mavuso said Maseko brings fresh leadership to the team. “We have a new captain in the club and he’s bringing a new dimension in terms of leadership. We appreciate the contribution made by the previous captain, but expect something different now. He’s going to bring a different energy and mindset to the club,” Mavuso said.
Maseko, speaking ahead of the upcoming match against Ezulwini United at Mavuso Sports Centre on Sunday, called on fans to show their support. “We are going into the game with the intention to win and represent you well. Preseason has gone well. We are sharp, we are hungry for the game. We want to bring something back to you as fans because we know you’ve been patiently waiting to see Mbabane Highlanders AM in action. To the guys, let’s please bring a trophy for the supporters. It may not be a major trophy, but small victories build the winning spirit that leads to greater achievements,” he said. 
The club thanked former captain Thando Langa for his leadership and service and welcomed the new chapter under Maseko’s guidance.
