Pigg’s Peak – Police have arrested and charged a 41-year-old man from Fairview in connection with an attempted murder case that occurred in Lomshiyo on February 3, 2026.
Authorities report that a 32-year-old woman was attacked with a bush knife while she was sleeping in her bedroom, sustaining multiple injuries. She is currently admitted to hospital receiving medical treatment.
The attack reportedly began around 0600 hours after a minor misunderstanding. The suspect allegedly told police that he believed the victim was “taking him for a fool” because she had promised to visit him for over a week but failed to show up. 
The victim’s sister-in-law, hearing her screams, immediately called her husband, who returned home quickly. The victim’s brother arrived at the scene and fought off the attacker, rescuing her.
Pigg’s Peak police responded promptly, opened an attempted murder case, and detained the suspect. He is scheduled to appear before Pigg’s Peak Magistrate’s Court today.
