MBABANE – The Ministry of Natural Resources and Energy has reported signs of stability in the country’s fuel supply following a high level meeting between the Honourable Minister HRH Prince Lonkhokhela and local oil companies.

The meeting took place today in Mbabane as government moved to address concerns over fuel availability linked to geopolitical tensions in the Middle East and rising global demand ahead of expected price increases.

According to the Ministry, the discussions focused on the current supply situation and measures being taken to safeguard national stocks. The Minister expressed appreciation to oil companies for maintaining supply flows under difficult international conditions.

Oil companies, in turn, acknowledged the Ministry’s intervention, particularly efforts to increase fuel imports from Mozambique and measures aimed at cushioning local consumers from steep price adjustments.

Industry representatives reported that supply levels are gradually stabilising and are projected to meet national demand in the coming weeks. However, authorities cautioned that the global fuel market remains unpredictable, with developments in the Middle East continuing to influence pricing and availability.

The Ministry said it will continue monitoring the situation closely and will keep emaSwati informed through regular public updates as efforts continue to secure steady fuel supplies across the country.
