Brussels – The third edition of the OACPS-UNIDO Business Diplomacy Training got under way in Brussels, Belgium, on 18 May 2026, bringing together representatives from African, Caribbean, and Pacific embassies and missions for three days of capacity building aimed at boosting foreign direct investment in member states.
The training, which runs until 20 May 2026, is designed to strengthen the ability of ACP embassies and missions to support national investment promotion agencies in attracting both local and foreign direct investment.

Opening remarks were delivered by Mrs. Doreen Walsweer-Sore, OACPS Expert for Summits and Implementation of the Samoa Agreement, who spoke on behalf of OACPS Secretary-General His Excellency Moussa Batraki.
The training is organised under the OACPS-EU ACP Business Friendly Programme, funded by the OACPS and the European Union under the 11th European Development Fund, and implemented by UNIDO at the meso-level to support increased foreign direct investment flows into OACPS member states.
