Zimbabwe is taking part in the Zambia Travel Expo 2026, running from 4 to 6 June, where the country is promoting its tourism offerings to international tour operators, exhibitors and industry stakeholders through the Ministry of Tourism and Hospitality Industry and the Zimbabwe Tourism Authority.
Attractions being showcased include Victoria Falls, Kariba, Mana Pools, Hwange National Park, Great Zimbabwe, the Eastern Highlands, Bulawayo and the country’s cultural heritage, as Zimbabwe positions itself as a multi-destination tourism hub on the continent.
A notable moment at the expo came when Zambian Vice President Mutale Nalumango visited the Zimbabwe exhibition stand, where she was received by Zimbabwe’s Ambassador to Zambia Charity Charamba, Zimbabwe Tourism Authority Chief Executive Officer Dr George Manyaya and Director of Domestic Tourism Gladys Chinyerere.
The visit pointed to strong bilateral cooperation between the two neighbouring countries, particularly around the joint marketing of Victoria Falls and broader regional tourism development.
Discussions at the expo covered multi-destination tourism, sustainable and climate-resilient development, community-based tourism, gastronomy tourism and innovation-driven visitor experiences. The event is also being used to build momentum ahead of the Sanganai/Hlanganani Dzimbabwe World Tourism Expo 2026, set to take place in Masvingo.
