Mbabane – The Office of the Deputy Prime Minister has warned emaSwati against a fraudulent Facebook account using a cloned voice note purporting to be that of Deputy Prime Minister Senator Thulisile Dladla.
The office issued the warning on 23 June 2026 after the fake account began circulating a post falsely inviting members of the public to deposit £5,000 into an organisation allegedly partnered with the Deputy Prime Minister’s Office for the construction of houses for vulnerable elderly citizens.
The office dismissed the claim as untrue and condemned it, stating that the Deputy Prime Minister does not have a Facebook account, either in her personal or official capacity. 
“The Office categorically dismisses this claim as untrue and condemns it with the contempt it deserves,” the statement read.
Members of the public have been strongly warned not to fall victim to the scam and are urged to report any approaches of this nature immediately to the Royal Eswatini Police Service.
The office noted that all official communication and assistance from the Deputy Prime Minister’s Office is disseminated exclusively through the Office of Communications and published on verified social media platforms and official government channels.
The public is urged to disregard and report any suspicious activity linked to the fake page.
