Matsapha – Autism Eswatini has graduated 20 practitioners from its Autism Spectrum Disorder Practitioners Certificate Programme, marking the completion of the 2024/2025 cohort of the organisation’s year-long capacity-building initiative.

The graduation ceremony was held on 19 June 2026 at Sibayeni Lodge, where 14 of the 20 graduates were present to receive their certificates. The remaining graduates had successfully completed the programme but were unable to attend the event.

The 12-month programme equips participants with knowledge, practical skills and evidence-based approaches to support, advocate for and improve the quality of life of children and individuals on the autism spectrum.

The graduating class included teachers, caregivers, healthcare professionals, parents and social workers, all of whom now carry formal training in understanding and supporting people with autism across the Kingdom.

Autism Eswatini said the achievement goes beyond earning a certificate. “Your achievement represents more than earning a certificate, it reflects your commitment to making a lasting difference in the lives of children/individuals with Autism and their families. We encourage you to carry this knowledge forward, continue learning and become ambassadors for inclusion wherever you go,” the organisation said in a message to graduates.

The organisation credited facilitators, partners, sponsors and families for making the programme possible, saying their belief in the mission and investment in the programme were central to its success.
