MATSAPHA – Minister of Commerce, Industry and Trade Manqoba Khumalo has visited Elangeni Macadamia’s processing facility in Matsapha to assess progress ahead of the company’s official start of operations.
The plant, which focuses on macadamia nut processing, is expected to become fully operational in early September, with installation, fabrication and automation of processing equipment currently underway. The company has already begun receiving macadamia nuts from local farmers and has started the curing process.

Elangeni Macadamia is an export oriented business that sources nuts from growers across Eswatini, providing a stable market for farmers while adding value to locally produced agricultural commodities.

Minister Khumalo welcomed the investment, saying it supports government’s drive to grow exports, promote value addition and create sustainable economic opportunities for emaSwati. He urged local farmers to continue producing high quality macadamia nuts so they can fully benefit from the expanding industry.
