Mbabane – The Ministry of Public Works and Transport has announced the appointment of Vusi Mabuza as the new Chief Roads Engineer, effective immediately.
Mabuza, who has spent over a decade within the department, previously served as Principal Roads Engineer. He has overseen the planning, management, and supervision of numerous road infrastructure projects across Eswatini. The Civil Service Commission confirmed the appointment on 2 April 2026.
His promotion is expected to strengthen the Ministry’s efforts in maintaining and expanding the country’s road network. Thulani Mkhaliphi, Principal Secretary at the Ministry, said, “We congratulate Mr Mabuza for this appointment and believe he will take the button and drive the national roads infrastructure ambitions to a much higher level.”
Mabuza brings extensive experience in civil engineering, project management, and stakeholder engagement, positioning him to accelerate ongoing and future road projects in the Kingdom.
