Lobamba – Millions of people across the African continent will be able to watch Eswatini’s Royal Ruby Jubilee Celebrations live on April 24, 2026, after the Ministry of Information, Communications and Technology announced that the event has been unlocked for continental broadcast on MultiChoice Africa Holdings.
The celebrations will air on channel 286, Eswatini TV, from 06:00 to 23:59 on the day, giving audiences across Africa the opportunity to witness the historic national moment in real time.
The Ruby Jubilee marks 40 years of royal leadership by His Majesty the King, who also celebrates his 58th birthday, a milestone defined by unity, cultural pride and national development. 
The Ministry extended its congratulations to Their Majesties on the occasion, describing it as a remarkable journey through time.
The Ministry also expressed gratitude to DStv Eswatini and DStv Africa for their continued support of both the nation and the broadcaster, saying the partnership plays a vital role in ensuring audiences have access to diverse programming and remain informed, educated and entertained.
The Eswatini TV Authority was applauded for taking the initiative in facilitating the broadcast, with the Ministry crediting the authority’s leadership and technical coordination for making it possible for Eswatini’s story to reach audiences across Africa.
The Ministry said the broadcast presents a unique opportunity to showcase Eswatini’s rich heritage, traditions and national identity on the continent, while reinforcing the country’s growing digital and broadcasting capabilities.
All emaSwati, both at home and in the diaspora, have been invited to tune in and experience the celebrations as the nation comes together to honour Their Majesties.
