Mbabane – The Eswatini Water and Agricultural Development Enterprise convened key stakeholders on Monday under the Smallholder Agriculture Productivity Enhancement and Marketing Project to review progress and align on priorities as the initiative moves into full implementation.
The meeting, held on June 29, 2026, brought together government partners, development partners, implementing institutions and other stakeholders to reflect on findings from the International Fund for Agricultural Development Aide Memoire and chart the way forward for the project, known as SAPEMP.
Central to the discussions was an ongoing baseline study that will provide evidence to guide project planning, implementation and decision-making, with the aim of ensuring that interventions respond directly to the needs of smallholder farmers across Eswatini.
